Nigel PimlottNigel is a widely experienced writer, trainer and facilitator. He brings insight, challenge and possibility to all that he does.

Having spent his early career working for Barclays Bank, he has worked for Frontier Youth Trust since 2000 undertaking research relating to issues that affect at risk young people, facilitating extensive training and coaching of youth workers and writing resources for them.

His PhD was in Faith-Based Youth Work exploring the relationship between such work and contemporary social policy. He studied at Staffordshire University in partnership with the University, Centre for Youth Ministry and Oasis College.

Nigel also advises people on:

youth work issues - bringing over 25 years of youth work experience
project management - offering creative insight and innovation
strategic development of voluntary sector work - combining practical and robust processes
funding issues - having raised over £1 million for a variety of organisations.

He carries out organisational reviews of youth and community projects and advises groups on the establishment of such projects. He writes for different publishers and undertakes training, coaching and consultancy engagements for a number of clients. He is in high demand as a trainer, conference speaker and workshop leader where he seeks to blend insight, challenge and humour in a positive, participative and creative approach to learning. His Masters Degree dissertation focussed on "participative processes" the work from which informs his facilitation and consultation work.

His work in Nottinghamshire has also helped turn a redundant textiles factory into a vibrant youth and community facility. He took a major lead in the project and business planning, refurbishment, fund raising and establishment of a number of youth projects that take place in the factory building.

He is a passionate supporter of Manchester City football club. He currently lives near Newark in Nottinghamshire with his wife, Sue.
